Bad movie , great body
Well, the 1980's had its share of bad films, and this one is no exception. The plot is as simplistic as it gets; a nerd wants to have the perfect body so he can be happy, only to discover there is a price to pay. ( Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it, true happiness comes from within, take your pick!) The acting is terrible, but let's be honest girls we are not gonna watch a movie called "Hunk" for the acting or the dialogue. We want to look at a hot body and John Allen Nelson definitely has that. Unfortunately, the scenes with Hunk showing off his gorgeous muscular bod are few & far between. Hunk is harmless fun, but if you want to drool over a beautiful body, you'll have alot of fast forwarding to do.

No calories and not illegal, what more could you ask for?
Sinfully Good
I believe this is the last movie appearance by the late, great James CoCo who plays Satan in this little 80's jewell with devilish glee. Surprisingly, John Allen Nelson,(currently on 24) one of the endless supply of Soap Hunks seemingly available on demand at any given time in any given decade, gives a meaty (couldn't resist it) performance that is full of charm and wit. Steve Levitt acquits himself perfectly as the pre- and post- transformation nerd. Even CoCo had to watch out for the scene stealing vamping of Deborah Shelton (Body Double) as the assistant from Hell (literally). Of course watch for Robert Morse in a drier than the Sahara perf. And last but not least serve plenty of savory Avery Doritos at your Celebration Of The California Hunk Lifestyle Party when you screen it (sorry, never been much of a...
