great suspend, a little bit of all the ingredients which makes the series a success. Sicilia all over, great, great.
It's A Cultural Thing
We usually enjoy movies from other cultures, if only to see the differences between cultures. This series was new to us and well rated, but we found it slow moving, verbose, and 1970's sexist (compared against our current standards.) There was no on-screen violence or nudity, but lots of discussion. The pacing reminded me of our daytime soap operas.
This isn't a bad movie, just probably not as enjoyable to U.S. viewers as British or Scandinavian movies, IMO.
