a great series
This series is beautiful, subtle and moving. This actor is terrific as Brunetti (I liked the other guy, he just didn't fit my image of Brunetti). The kids are truly special characters. I preferred the other actress who played Paola, Brunetti's wife, but this actress does a good job. Patta is hilarious and Elettra is PERFECT. The sad facts of the books don't seem as heavy in the series, which is a double-edged sword. Venice is, of course, the star.
