Much better than some other video lectures comparing Genesis to other creation stories
I viewed this lecture "The Polemic Language of Genesis" after starting to view "GENESIS WITH ANNE GRAHAM LOTZ". Dr. Neiman's lecture is better by far. Dr. Neiman provides an interesting, insightful and thoughtful analysis of how the creation stories of other cultures compare to that of Genesis. He neither discounts or dismisses the other stories but instead provides rational and reasons why they exist and how they differed. The other lecture mentioned above instead simply, and without support, conclusively dismisses the other creation stories as being something that no one could intellectually believe because they are so silly. This latter type of discussion provides little additional insight and itself lacks rigor. I recommend Dr. Neiman's lecture, if nothing else, for its intellectual honesty and academic insights.
